Finally Learn to Say "No" Without the Guilt. Yes, It's Possible!

Remember that time you said "yes" to yet another project when you were already drowning? Or checked Slack at 10 PM even though you promised yourself you'd disconnect?

I've been there too. For years, I thought success meant being available 24/7. What I didn't realize was that this relentless pace was silently wreaking havoc on my nervous system. It wasn't until I faced three urgent surgeries and severe corporate burnout that I dove headfirst into studying the neuroscience behind what actually creates lasting transformation.

Here's what I learned the hard way: Boundaries aren't barriers to success. They're the foundation of it. And your body has been trying to tell you exactly where those boundaries need to be all along.

How to Stop People Pleasing and Set Healthy Boundaries

That tight chest when your boss adds "just one more thing"? The way your shoulders creep up during certain conversations? That's not anxiety. That's wisdom. Your nervous system is your brilliant personal advisor desperately trying to get your attention.

Research shows our bodies continuously process interoceptive signals that reflect our physiological condition (Craig, 2002). What if instead of overriding these signals, we learned to decode them? What if your body became your greatest ally in creating boundaries that actually stick?

Why Traditional Boundary Setting Techniques Don't Work

Forget death by PowerPoint! This is an interactive, somatic experience where we'll be on our feet, on yoga mats, practicing with partners. Because you can't learn boundaries by thinking about them. You learn them by feeling, practicing, and embodying them.

The Four-Part Boundary Setting Framework That Actually Works:

Part 1: Somatic Boundary Discovery

Through gentle Somatic Yoga movements and embodiment exercises with journaling, we'll help you identify your unique boundary needs. Van der Kolk's research shows that stress lives in our tissues (2014). These mindful movement practices help your body release what it's been holding.

Part 2: Professional Scripts for Saying No, Guilt-Free

A step-by-step system for defining and communicating boundaries with grace, backed by research on interpersonal neurobiology (Siegel, 2012). Plus, actual scripts you can use Monday morning.

Part 3: Practice Setting Boundaries in Real Workplace Scenarios

Live practice sessions using Somatic Yoga techniques and body-based awareness to build your comfort with setting boundaries. You'll learn to recognize alignment versus people-pleasing. Your nervous system will guide the process.

Part 4:  Theta Wave Sound Meditation Integration

Using scientifically calibrated sound instruments tuned to exact frequencies, I'll facilitate your brain's shift into theta state (4-8 Hz), optimizing the neural conditions for rapid skill integration and lasting behavioral change.

Is This Professional Development Workshop Right for Your Career?

If any of these situations sound familiar, this workshop will provide the strategic tools you need to optimize your professional effectiveness:

  • Everyone comes to you because you "never say no"
  • Work-life balance feels impossible
  • You feel guilty prioritizing your needs
  • Previous boundary attempts didn't stick

Your Guide: Liz Adriano

After over a decade in Fortune 500 leadership managing global teams and multimillion-dollar budgets, I learned that even the highest levels of success don't protect you from chronic stress. When my body demanded attention through three urgent surgeries, I realized I needed a different approach to sustainable performance.

This sparked my deep dive into neuroscience research, where I discovered and mastered the science-backed tools that rewired my brain through neuroplasticity. As a certified Theta Wave Sound Meditation practitioner and Somatic Yoga instructor, I teach ambitious professionals the art of thriving, not just surviving, in high-pressure careers.
